










Victoria Stewart, violinist, has performed in the Glimmerglass
Opera Orchestra since 1995. She has performed as
Concertmaster of Opera Carolina, and as Assistant
Concertmaster of both the New Jersey State Opera and the
Texas Opera Theater. She has been Principal Second Violinist
of New York City-based Teatro Grattacielo, and has performed
with the Houston Grand Opera and the New York City Opera.
Ms. Stewart has appeared as concerto soloist in Korea with the
Pusan Philharmonic, and with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra
on MBC Television, as well as with the Colonial Symphony of
New Jersey. As a recipient of a Fulbright Grant for Performing
Artists, she spent two years in Seoul, Korea serving as
Co-Concertmaster of the Seoul Philharmonic and performing
chamber-music recitals. As a freelance musician, she performs
regularly with the Colonial Symphony, the Westfield Symphony,
the Long Island Philharmonic, and the St. Cecilia Chorus
Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. She has recorded chamber music
with the Bronx Arts Ensemble. Ms. Stewart is the founder and
executive director of Arco Ensemble, a virtuoso classical string
orchestra which gave its debut concert in June 2007 and
recorded the concertos of Bach with world-renowned violinist
Elmar Oliveira in April 2009. She is also part of the Concert
Artist Faculty at Kean University, where she regularly performs
chamber music and outreach performances.
