









Ubaldo Valli, violinist, has been a member of the Glimmerglass Opera Orchestra since 1982, and has
also performed with the Binghamton Philharmonic, the St. Cecilia Chamber Orchestra, the Albany
Symphony Orchestra and the 1st Street Chamber Players. He studied at Ithaca College, graduating
Magna Cum Laude and Valedictorian with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. He studied violin
with William Lincer, Pamela Gearhart, Warwick Lister, and Linda Sharon-Cerone. He is currently a
lecturer of violin at Hamilton College.
In addition, Mr. Valli is an accomplished conductor and is currently the Music Director/Conductor of the
SUNY Cortland College-Community Orchestra and the Northeast String Orchestra. He has also held
conducting positions with the Empire State Repertory Orchestra and String Ensemble, the Auburn
Chamber Orchestra, the Saratoga Springs Youth Orchestra, the Ithaca and Corning Philharmonic Youth
Orchestras, and has been in demand as a conductor of festivals across the region.
Mr. Valli is the organizer, director and conductor of the Pierstown Concert Series (formerly the Hyde
Hall Chamber Players), the annual chamber music concert series that the Glimmerglass Opera
musicians present as their gift to the community.
