Clarinetist Tom Slavinsky has been a member of the
Glimmerglass Opera Orchestra since 1975. He is currently a
member of the Catskill Symphony and a faculty member at
Hartwick College and, for 33 years, he was a member of the
instrumental music faculty for the Oneonta Schools District.
He holds degrees from Ithaca College and Hartwick
College, and studied clarinet with Robert Schmidt and Joe
Allard. In addition to his performance duties, he is also the
Vice President of the American Federation of Musicians,
Local 443 and the Union Steward for the Glimmerglass
Opera Orchestra.
