Victoria Stewartline

Victoria StewartVictoria Stewart, violinist, has performed in the Glimmerglass Opera Orchestra since 1995. She has performed as concertmaster of Opera Carolina, assistant concertmaster of both the New Jersey State Opera and the Texas Opera Theater, principal second violinist of New York City-based Teatro Grattacielo, and has performed with the Houston Grand Opera and the New York City Opera.

Ms Stewart has appeared as concerto soloist in Korea with the Pusan Philharmonic, and with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra on MBC Television, as well as with the Colonial Symphony of New Jersey. As a recipient of a Fulbright Grant for Performing Artists, she spent two years in Seoul, Korea serving as co-concertmaster of the Seoul Philharmonic and performing chamber-music recitals. In 2010 she served as faculty member and performer at the first “International Chamber Music Festival of Campina Grande” (Brazil).

Ms Stewart is the founder and executive director of Arco Ensemble, a virtuoso classical string orchestra based in New Jersey, which gave its debut concert in June, 2007, recorded the concertos of Bach with world-renowned violinist Elmar Oliveira in the fall of 2009, and continues to perform two concerts annually with prestigious guest conductors. She is also part of the Concert Artist Faculty at Kean University where she regularly performs on an extensive series of chamber music and outreach performances.
