Frank Meredith earned degrees from The King's College (B.S. in Music Education), Ithaca College
(M.M. in Brass Performance), and was awarded a doctoral fellowship in conducting at Northwestern
University. He has performed as the Bass Trombonist with Glimmerglass Opera since 1981, and with
Utica Symphony and Catskill Symphony for over 30 years. He has appeared internationally as a
euphonium soloist and clinician, and formerly held the Principal Euphonium position with the
International Symphonic Wind Orchestra. His teaching career included ten years as a high school
band director, ten years at the College of St. Rose and Hartwick College, and two terms on the
Executive Council of the New York State School Music Association. His historical fiction Civil War
novel, "The Unfinished Work," was recently released by Trafford Publishing.
